Then Sings My Soul Saturday - Hillsong

Yes, I realize I've been obsessed with Hillsong lately...what can I say? They are amazing. :) So I still have love on the brain...I can't shake it lately. I was looking for the song "Amazing Love" that we all know and love...and I found this one instead. It has a great message, and I loved it instantly. I hope you enjoy it.

Here are the lyrics:

I'm so amazed at how You take my life
And love me more, more than I deserve
I'm blown away by Your power to change this life
Once more, I'm planted in You

Who would know, that I was once
On a road so far away from You
All I know is that I live my life
To show the world Your amazing love
Your amazing love

Your love is pure Your love so divine
Your love transforms my soul my mind
Your love has the power to bring new hope
Amazing love
Amazing love

I'm so amazed at the wonder of all creation
I will live to honour You my Lord
You are the gold, treasure of all life
I will rest in You in praise eternally

Who would know that I was once
On a road so far away from You
All I know is that I live my life
To show the world Your amazing love
Your amazing

Your love is so pure Your love so divine
Your love transforms my soul my mind
Your love has the power to bring new hope
Amazing love
Amazing love
(repeat chorus)

I'm so amazed...

We Must Become The Change We Want To See - Gandhi

I spent this weekend taking a group of teen girls from our church to the Revolve Tour. It's this amazing conference for girls put on by Women of Faith.

At this conference, we had the opportunity of seeing a young boy named Austin Gutwein. To say that this boy blew my mind would be the understatement of the century. At 8 years old he started what became Hoops of Hope. Here is a run down by Austin from his website on how it all started:

"In the spring of 2004, I watched a video that showed children who had lost their parents to a disease called AIDS. After watching the video, I realized these kids weren’t any different from me except they were suffering. I felt God calling me to do something to help them. I decided to shoot free throws and on World AIDS Day, 2004, I shot 2,057 free throws to represent the 2,057 kids who would be orphaned during my day at school. People sponsored me and we were able to raise almost $3,000. That year, the money was used by World Vision to provide hope to 8 orphan children."

That was just his first year! Check out his website, watch the video...I promise you will fall in love with this kid as much as I have. Then help this kid out, he is going to change the world.

Then Sings My Soul Saturdays - Los Lonely Boys

I have always loved this song. I love the groove, and I relate to message. I think all Christians would. Paul tells us in II Corinthians that our eternal home is in heaven, not built with human hands. David prays "How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints for the courts of the Lord" So it's natural for me to sing out and ask "how far is heaven, oh Lord can you tell me?" My soul wasn't meant to for this earth forever. :)

WFW - Love Each Other

I have had LOVE on my mind a lot lately. Not because Valentines day is just around the corner, but because I think we could get a lot further in life if we spent a little more time loving and a little less time judging/condeming.

Then Sings My Soul Saturday - Hillsong

My friend (who also happens to be my pastor) Arron Chambers posted this song on his blog yesterday. He did it for the same reason I am doing it today. We both work with the youth group at Journey Christian Church, and the kids LOVE this song. It's moving to see them come alive with worship...we can't skip this song...they beg for it every week. I hope you enjoy it!!
